A mat designed with ecology first

This mat is our most ecological option, thanks to its certifications (GRS, REACH, PAHs) and its manufacture from recycled TPE without PVC or latex. However, its diamond texture can be slightly slippery during some intense practices—it is therefore not suitable for all yoga practices.

For the most intense practices: heavy sweating, wide splits, fast transitions, our second mat, the Yuniko Performance, offers total grip and adhesion. Much more suitable for vigorous practices and demanding movements.

Our manufacturing process

The TPE for our mats comes from recycled objects; we do not manufacture from virgin plastic. This material is molded by pressing in a single piece, without gluing: the diamond texture, nubs, and engraved logo are formed directly, without assembly of layers.

Our pigments include some natural dyes; the rest are synthetic dyes, selected to comply with the GRS, REACH, and PAHs certifications of the material.

Each mat undergoes quality control before shipping: no defects are tolerated for sale. Mats with defects are not thrown away—they are reintegrated into the recycling circuit.

Our manufacturing partner, located in China, is certified for the working conditions of its employees and the materials we use to make our mats.

Carbon footprint

Finally, our carbon footprint is negative despite importing our mats by sea. All our mats come from polluting, recycled objects that would have ended up in our oceans, forests, and harming our animals. In addition, our sea and road delivery partners in France limit their footprint.
